Get ready for Charity Zone at TwitchCon
Speed run to fundraise! That’s right, Charity Zone is back at TwitchCon and this year we’re raising money for a new bunch of amazing charities and Twitch is matching donations up to $50,000. Join us for the Speedrun World Record Circuit Finals where GSA will raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, AbleGamers Foundation, Direct Relief, Latinx in Gaming, 1000 Dreams Fund, The Trevor Project, No Kid Hungry, NAMI, Gamers Outreach and Urban Arts NY using the new Twitch Charity tool! In addition to the featured charities, the Charity Zone will also welcome 20+ more awesome charities, stop by to learn more and connect.
So how do donations work?
Good question. All the funds raised will be split evenly among the Featured Charities. Even more, Twitch will match up to $50,000 in donations.
What are the tournament deets?
This year’s tournament, Speedrun World Record Circuit Finals, will feature Thabeast721, LilKirbs, iiPK, Shoujo, Doomsday31415, Dimitri_smm & BlueChocobo facing off in Super Mario Maker 2. Oh, and our legendary commentators will be ALTInsider, WarningTrack & UnknownAvailability.
And how can I watch?
If you’re attending TwitchCon, you can find us set up in the Expo Hall the entire weekend and if you aren’t able to make it in person, you can tune in on /Speedrun on Twitch. The Schedule is 10am-6pm PT Friday-Sunday.
Since 2015, Charity Zone has been the #1 destination for the community to directly interact with charities they champion and discover new causes that excite them. We hope you can get inspired, get involved, and get hype for this year’s tournament!
